Beloved Children,

Amma is immensely happy to learn about the activities of the Hindu Students Council (HSC) of North America and the upcoming Global Dharma Conference (GDC). It is also heartening to know that the organization is celebrating its 25th year.

To see how youth becoming more and more spiritually inclined is truly inspiring. A transformation in the younger generation, a change in their perspective can create wonders.

In today's world, wherein values are not considered part of life, spiritual thinking and a spiritually oriented life are indispensable. As we see the ‘vicious circle’ gaining greater power in all areas of life, it is absolutely important to create a similar but more powerful ‘virtuous circle’ to prevent the possibility of being drawn into the whirlpool of the vicious circle, and also to save our earth and create a real change in this world.

The earth, through its gravitational force, attracts and causes everything to fall down. This is a universal law. In a similar manner, in order to balance the external law of gravitation, there is an internal law that helps us to soar and rise above all situations. That is the law of grace. As long as the ego weighs us down, the wind of grace cannot carry us up.

While a vicious circle is connected with the lower emotions, a virtuous circle is connected to a higher level of consciousness. May all the efforts of HSC create this much needed shift of consciousness from the lower to the higher, thus forming a worldwide circular chain of virtuous people.
